Long gone are the days when fathers waited outside the hospital delivery room and never changed a single diaper. Being a father figure means more than just bringing home the bacon. Fathers are expected to be involved, lead with love, and by example. I’ve always know Shawn would be an excellent and committed father. As the man behind the camera in our family he’s often absent from our photo and video memories and I wanted to celebrate him this year by surprising him with a father and son mini photography session. We booked our session with Amaes Photography and she captured their playful spirit perfectly. Shawn will never ask or volunteer to be photographed but I know he will treasure these photos with his sons for years to come. I see the engaged father he is everyday and now the world can see that too. I’m also grateful for my own great father who raised me to understand that being a parent has it’s challenges but it’s also completely rewarding. We want to celebrate all the fathers and father figures who are committed to their children and families. There may be cracks along the way but your steadfast love is the glue that will hold it all together.
